Hi ya! Sister Wengert

26 August 2013....When did this happen??
Hi ya everyone! Sounds like a wild and crazy and so fun- typical day at the wengert houdhold, that sounds so fun, I would love to do something like that for all the youth here in our stake! Hopefully our sports night will start to get that much bigger and we could do some huge water activity! and Eegees would be the best here- what I would give for a Watermelon and peach and berry eegee. hmmmmmm.... Im so sorry for your loss Amy, I know how close you are to your grandma, but I know her and Grandma Wengert and Tyrell and all the Family are greeting eachother! What I have learned is that the gospel does not take away everything that is hard, it makes it easier and bareable. Just like you said the Lord curves our back to bear the burden. I have a huge testimony of that and know the lord does not give us anything that we ourselves can not handle. It is not easy, but is truely made easier. Thank you for the pictures- I love them and Tan playing the Baritone and rocking it! Jordy and naes your such babes and ballin up Dallin- way to be and Dad....I saw him working a sweat in that picture, but Dad Im sure you still have that killer corner shot that you never miss. We play basketball every now and than as a district or zone and it is fun to get competitve, (but not too competitive) but play some good ball. Today is Bank holiday (No work and all banks are closed- the best kind of holiday haha- no reason really for it) But every bank holiday we play Football (US soccer) and it is always intense stuff too, no messing around. Everyone says dang wengert you can play footy, haha so dont worry im rubbish at football but doing my best to represent, it is always so fun though.
So what is up with Trish and Gordon and their big church day you are leaving me hanging here?? Dad you would rather drive at 10 pm to Phoenix than teach seminary.... haha I dont blame you, but mum you would seriously be the best teacher and I bet your lessons are so great, I would love to teach one over skype! haha
This week was crazy and busy..I feel Iike I say that each week, so I guess being a missinoary is crazy and busy! We are still working with quite a few less actives and some Recent converts, but you know what you do after a baptism...FINDING and finding and more finding! So we did a lot of finding this week and we are blitzing the area book like crazy ill Sis. andersens ankle gets strong enough to walk for a couple hours without rest! But we didnt have much success finding new people to teach, but found a coupld solid pots and are really exicted for this next week to find more and teach the ones we found.
We found one of the coolest and Solid peopel on the street the other day- such a miracle. We were cycling home one day, so tired and wet and sweaty we had just cylcled like 6 km that day and were shattered and ready to go home to eat some dinner. We rode past tons of people and were almost to our flat when we passed this guy walking alone on the street and I felt that we needed to stop him. He just seemed like a really nice guy and I felt this strong impressions saying go. So I slammed on my brake and yelled at sis Andersen to stop and we jumped off our bikes and started towards him. Im sure we were quite the sight to see coming right towards him but it turns out he is American. His name is Jeremy from Colorado and He has just moved here with his wife and 2 kids for the military. We talked for quite a while, a really good convo and he said he has worked with many members of the church and has even been to a baptism and basically said he felt the spirit. We talked all about how the gospel has blessed our families and how it can bless his. He also asked for something to read, so we gave him a Book of Mormon tried to set up an app but no luck, but we did get his number. He is solid, these are the type of people the Lord is preparing, and we are so lucky as missionaies to be blessed to have the spirit with us always to do this work for us. Missionary work would not work without the help of the spirit. We also stopped by an old potential we had in our area book and it turns out she had just moved last week and this lady Sarah has just moved in. Single mum with a brand new baby, long story short we have a return app for Tuesday and we are really excited for both Jeremy and Sarah! This week was definitly full of miracles and the lord is truely blessing us with new people to meet and teach. Yesterday we were also cycling the other day and I saw Teddi, the Ethopian with dreads and hawaiin shorts on the side of the road so we slammed on the brakes in the middle of the street and stared to chatting. His wife was not a fan of us and Chewed me out and said to never come back, well it puts us in of a tough spot he wants to learn, but his wife says no, but he said he would be at church next sunday and I really beleive he will be. He wants change and happiness in his life and I think he is just realizing that this is his answer, Im sure his wifes heart will be softened with time. But miracles are around all of us each day, both big and small, we just have to recognize Heavnel fathers hand in it all.
This week we also had Interviews with President and his wife! We all travled to Gloucster and had District meeting and were than called in one by one. My first interview so far and I have been out 5 months tomorrow! It was such a good talk with him, I am so blessed to have President and Sister Rasmussen in my life. They have grown to become almost like family to me. Of course the first thing he asks is how is my family and starts naming off each one of us...Tara, Devin, Dallin.....He is the Man! He also talked about how incredible of  a mom I have and I would have to agree on that one. He talked about the phone call we had when Dally had his accident, and this Sunday me and my comp taught Young womens on how to strengthen the family and I have to say, it made me realize how incrediblly blessed I am to have you all as my family. Each one of your examples has helped me to be where I am at this point and continue to help daily! Families are so central to this plan God has given us and I am becoming more aware of that each day on my mission. W9 baby!
We had some really good lessons with Shakira and she is doing so good, she is coming to church each week and is so proud of her brand new hard back scriptures the ward got her. We had dinner with her and Mark Chesters who baptised her and when we went to give the thought I asked her if she had a favorite scripture and she said yep, of course and she took my book of mormon and said I love Jacob 2:18 and than explained what it meant to her, and than spouted off a couple other scriptures. She is ten years old and so strong in the gospel, I just love that girl to death and her family is making so much progress. Her dad Stephen who gave the prayer, was on the Do no contact list but is now having the Elders come around and also letting us teach him. Shakira's sister was baptised with her dad  along time ago and is doing great and her friend Ellie is also taking the discussions and attending church and Young Womens. Mom it is the best watching people change. I can not belive that about Dan, that is incredible, how did he start taking the discussions, are they teaching them at his house or at ours? I want to know it all, does he have good missionaries?? That is incredible and you are all great missionaries I am so impressed and brag to all the Elders in my district how my family are studs in sharing the gospel. That news seriously made my day!
Good job Dally boy, you are making such progress and people continue to ask about you all the time even over here in England and I get to tell them all about you and how great you are doing and your miracle. I have had some pretty neat expereineces sharing your story with others. That info about the glasgow score is incredible. Funny story about that, Mom remember Elder Norton serving in Ogedn UT, we went to school together at EA and he has written me a few letters, he asked me if I had relitives with the last name Wengert in Logan and sure enough he knows all about your story and served in your stake, you really are famous! Tan..Im sorry your bird died again :( But he is now in a better place! Home sounds busy and hope everyones loving school, how was everyones first couple weeks! Study hard! Love you all and thank you for everything!

Crazy news!!!!

HELLO EVERYBODY! Wow two more nephews! Where my girls at? haha Any names picked out yet and what are the due dates! Soooo exciting and Tara a mini Van?? Rocking it! This week was a great one! Biggest news is we have a baptism on Saturday! Our 10 year old investigator Shakira is getting Baptised and her whole family is going to be there, her dad and older sister were baptised about 4 years ago but are all less acticve now, but not for long. They are all attending and Shakira's dad is even saying the opening prayer. Pretty exciting I cant wait. We went over yesterday to plan her baptismal program and she is so excited a little nervous about getting the holy ghost, but only to go in front of the church and to have "boys put there hands on her head". But we planned it and she is really excited, we are singing follow the prophet her favourite primary song! It should be a really good day and im excited to have sis Andersen experience her 1st baptism- the best feeling ever. I love the feeling at a baptism, it never gets old and makes all the hard work we do so worth it.
This week we tore it up with the Less Actives. Bishop gave us a list of lost records of some Less active members so we set out to find them. Me, Sister Andersen, Bulseye, and Pegasus headed out and travelled all around Cheltenham, got yelled out by some people who we had some wrong addresses for, but had some success as well. We met one lady, had to cycle up this Huge hill, imagine England Hilly??? some huge hills and got to see one lady named Julie, she has been less active for 20 years and now has 2 boys. We talked for a while and now are coming back next week to start teaching her and her sons again! So worth the hills...Sister Andersen just kept yelling Hot husband points with each pedal we took... Whatever Works! We also did some serious service for  a LA member named Sam. She took us to her garden (backyard) and it was full of rubbish, old gross toys, prickly rose bushes, nettle (devil plant), old food and more rubbish. We looked at each other, nothing we expected and got to work. Two hours later and lots of scratches, we got it all cleaned up. She was amazed when it was finished, and we shared a message with her, and she said she would consider coming back to church. She has these two crazy twins that had heaps of snails and put them on us as we worked, but once again all worth it. We did a lot of less active work and had some good success and it feels good to help out the Cheltenham ward.
That is so exciting about all the missionaries from our stake! We got another 32 missionaries this past transfer! Our mission is one of the biggest (and best) missions in the UK. Where are all the missionaries going- any going to England? We also had a lesson with Derek, basically he has a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, but he is just one step behind from getting baptised. He is so close...it is so cool to watch people change. Watching Derek from day one till now is so cool to witness, and it makes me so grateful to be apart of this amazing work.
Sports night went much better this week! There were quite a bit more people that came and we played football and rounders. Each week we get more and more people and it is growing bigger and bigger, ya mom it is a bit like high school powederpuff game. But they are asking more and more questions and a few might join us at church along with some Less actives that attend too.
This week Sister Andersen had her first English toad in a hole and she was freaking out, haha ohhh I love having a greenie because she know nothing English haha and everyone just takes the mick out of her. Sister Andersen is doing really good, we went up to Wales on Friday to go see a doctor and her ankle is doing much better. We also went to go visit a lady in the hospital from Stroud ward, Sister Andersen was convinced we were in a insane asslymn, haha hospitals here are much different than America, it is so funny to watch her face with every new experience I through her into.
This week we also did some service for a extreme Greek orothdox potential and afterword's were talking about our relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. She was talking about some trials she has gone through and some how Dallin came up and I was able to bear my testimony on trials and how my relationship with Heavenly father has been bettered from  the hard things we go through. we got to share a bit of the plan of salvation with here and how the scriptures and the Book of Mormon have especially helped me through hard things. She was not interested before, but after talking with her and sharing our testimonies and having the spirit there, she committed to reading a chapter in the Book of Mormon and having us come back again.
We got a new missionary in our district this week: His name is Elder Turney, a big rugby player from Reddings England. But he is way cool and of course we had to welcome him to Cheltenham the right way with TGIS!
I bet you are the best seminary teacher mom. I wish I would have paid much more attention in seminary and not have slept so much....did I just admit that?? haha But mom im sure you do great and with your voice and such great lessons, nobody could sleep :) and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! You should be getting a little something your way and hopefully it makes it all in one piece! Dad what do you think of English Chocolate- the best right, probably a bit melted but all the same! Dad, you got the wrong birthday?? ohhh boy!
So a Recent Convert Suzie Lonterman had these pet rats and they love putting them on us and watching us squirm with them. She is an amazing lady and has become a second mum to me. We go over every Monday and us and her two girls have Family home Evening. Jordan, Beatrix one of her girls added you on Facebook! Add her and can you go on my facebook and check up on things! Your the Best! This week was busy busy, and we got more work to do each week. When you do your part the lord does all the rest. This is truly the Lord's work and all our success comes from him. Hope you have a great week! I cant believe school is already starting again! Send me a video of this new and improved Dally man! Love you all

My life is Sick

What a week for the Wingin' wengerts! Jordy's Birthday Party, Tan needs Glasses, mom almost lost her license again, and School started today! That is Straight up Crazy- I can not believe how fast time flys by! Mission time flys by- I just finished my 3rd transfer! Mum, If the only thing my mission does for you is get you out of tickets and allow you to keep your license...I am happy! haha that is so crazy! Derek- I loved all the pictures, it is just so funny to look at pictures and see how different each one of our missions are from each other! So different but we are each right where we belong! The lord calls his missionaries to the people not the place. Derek you sound awesome and I love hearing about everything, your English not so good anymore, but that must mean your Spanish is awesome, which Im sure it is. Don't worry my American English is pretty rubbish itself. But im glad you had a good birthday!

This week has ZOOMED by! I swear it was just Monday And I was at the Cheltenham Chapel emailing you! Tuesday we had Zone Conference and as usual it was great! It was great to see President and his awesome wife who has become one of my closet friends, of course they asked all about our family, they say they have followed everything so closely that they feel like they know our whole family. The say to pass their love on the Wengerts. When President emails me or calls me now he always says "w9 plus one Signing out" Love this man to death, I could not ask for a better mission president and me and my district are already making plans to all come to his homecoming in 2 years! But Zone conference was soo good and I learned how to much more effectively use our precious time as missionaries. Devin, crazy thing. Sister Reidhead came up to me as I was playing prelude for the conference and she handed me a picture of her parents and you and Ted! I pretty much jumped out off the bench and started pounding her with questions! Such a small world! We did a lot of service (well most weeks we do a lot of service it seems like) But I love serving the Cheltenham Ward! We painted a members whole house- us 6 missionaries came in and dominated and had the whole house painted in like 5 hours! We also did some gardening and I have witnessed the BIGGEST slugs I have ever seen in my entire life! welcome to England: slugs, rain, and more rain! Like I said my life is Sick (the best)! Sports night this week was a bomb...no body really showed up, but next week we talked with the youth coordinator for the club we decided to team up with and are going to play a big game of Rounders next week! Rounders is kind of baseball but not at all but UK style! haha Google it or something Idk how to explain it but its fun and somewhat like softball so im happy!

We also got to teach Theo and Shakira (our 9 year old investigator). Teaching Theo this week was sooo awesome- so hard but so good. Theo is by far the Hadest person I have ever taught, we did talk with him to send missionaries in London to his family and him when he is done working here in Cheltenham, and I think that is his best bet, learning with his family! But we read the BOM with him and our very last lesson talked all on the priesthood. At the end of the lesson he basically said he believes it is all true.. Everything, joseph Smith, The Book of Mormon, the priesthood, he just said he does not agree with getting baptised again- he kind of got at us in his African voice... "my sisters....no more talk of  baptism" He has it all, he is just missing that key aspect! I love this man to death and he has so many blessings of the gospel just waiting for him! But he will be taught in London with his family and it will all fall into place! But I love Theo- he has taught me the importance of Listening with love because he loves to preach and loves his friend Jesus. I have learned so much from each investigator and even every lesson. So much learning on a mission, and it never gets old. We also taught Shakira this week. Her sister is a LA and were working with her too. We went over to teach them Resto and Shania (the LA) had a friend who came to church with her once named Ellie and she is our newest investigator. All three were sitting with us in Church and Shakira is on a baptismal date for 17 August. Our area is doing really well, we are busy busy busy, and zooming everywhere on a bikes. Mum what you said made my day (Go you crazy, English, wet, dodgy, bikin shorts, skirts a fly-in, helmet hair sisters . . . ride like the wind!) hahahaha .

One really cool experience this week was with Derek 1! So we weren't able to meet with him this week, we were bummed but where determined to get him to church on Sunday. We called him Saturday evening and we were just chatting and we brought up church and he said he doesn't know if he can go because he is Fasting.... I was like wait we haven't even taught fasting yet. I asked him what he was fasting for and he said to know if the BOM Is true. I guess the gospel principle class was on fasting and he put it all together and decided to find out and fast about the Book of Mormon. I about did a heel click, the only problem is that he doesn't know if he could get to church because he would not have any energy to get to church because he was fasting, but hey one step at a time! Unfortunately he didn't make it to church but he is progressing well and doing great!
This week we had a DA at the Smith's and this man is known for his burgers...The are massive! I get heart burn just thinking about it! I mean Huge like 3 patties, filled with chees and onions and bacon, the are so huge he scewers them to keep them up. The Elders were so excited and Me and sister Andersen wanted to die. Luckily we convinced Brother Smith to allow us to split ours in half, but still huge! I also tried some of his hot sauce: on he bottle it said Extremely Dangerous. I literally tried half a drop and about stopped breathing. It was horrible, the worst, the hottest thing that has ever grazed my mouth, but I did it! it was quite the DA though.
Mum thank you for the package! Just a heads up, I would probably start sending packages to the mission home just because of the flat complex I live in it might get nicked. But thank you soooo much I devoured those sweedish fish! And I loved the shirt- I feel right at home and you better believe I wore it to bed with my South African tights a member brought me back. And Grandma thank you for the package as well! I Love the Cd and the I made some muffins this morning, I had to guess on the measurements (you don't use measuring cups really,  you use scales) but hey they worked out! Dallin looks soo good and thank you for the pictures! The blessings of service and in general are so real! The temple sounded amazing! Makes my day Jordan and Naes you too are gorgeous and Dallin better be betting those boys off you, such babes! Have a great first week at school! Tan- I thought I would send you a picture of mine and sister Andersen's new glasses (this glasses are huge here in England- and we rock them). We can be twins! I wanna see my handsome Tan man in his new stunner glasses! Mum, drive safe pleassse! TJ- have a great birthday and Mom on Sunday as well! I love you all and miss you heaps! Keep it Classy Lovvvvve you!

Cheers
