Well... I'm back and back into action!

I am back to school at Utah State University and almost have finished my first year back. I have recently been accepted into the secondary education program and I am in the health education and promotion major.

I have recently been reflecting on the importance of education and why I want to be a part of it. I have about two years left of school but enjoy my education classes.

With coming home from a mission and having to make life changing decisions, it has really helped me to focus on why I am go into this particular field of career.

I recently heard the story of a young boy on the beach throwing one star fish back into the water one at a time. An old man comes up and claims he is not making a difference since there are hundreds of starfish that have been washed up on the shore. The boy claims that he has made a difference with one, which is difference enough. I want to become a teacher so I can change that one.

Looking back on my education I have had a variety of teachers who have made a big impact in my life. They may have only made an impact in my life, but I will then make an impact in another person's life, and hopefully that person will make a difference in someone else's life. It is a chain reaction that never stops.

I want to be a teacher because education is everything and affects our life in a variety of ways. I want to teach high school in particular because it is such an important time in our life. High school is a time of choice, finding yourself, and preparing for the future. You need important role models in your life at that time and I feel that as an educator you can be that role model. I want to be a teacher so I can help generations now and to come to become better. teaching is exactly how that is done. 

 I want to teach health science classes (anatomy and physiology, nutrition, dietetics, etc) and eventually go into administration. It feels good to be on my way, and I m excited for the future. 

I love how the world of teaching is changing and becoming even better. Technology is becoming a big part of education. Blogs are changing the face of education and they make sharing ideas with other educators which is so helpful. These are some great blogs to learn from you should check them out too!

Welcome to the World Baby Clay Wengert!

CONGRATS Amy! Thats funny, I was just telling my comapion I felt like one day I was going to open my email and say hey i have another nephew! That is so exciting and he is so handsom, takes after his daddy! Hope you feeling better Amy! I bet Dally is the best dad and changes all the napies (diapers) haha. Man UofA is tearing is up! I like to rub it in to the elders a lot here and they are suprised i know my stuff about UofA, haha So thanks for the updates, it makes me sound cooler! Derek you are the man, keep up the good work, the asian spanish missionary sounds like a fun exchanges! I always love exchanges and working with other missionaries, you always learn so much!

This has been a good week of finding and searching for the Lords elect in the Lords vineard! This week we found another muslim man who comes from Tajikistan who we taught in the coffee shop, there are many muslims around here England, and there is even a place called Normanton, if I could imagine what Iraq or those other countries, I imagine it looks familiar, but most muslims are not interested in us teaching them, and he was the 1st person we stopped that day as well. He told us he wants us to be his "sisters" and tell us all. We had many DA's this week, and ate some authentic peruivan food including a fig and prune pudding, and some pork rynes haha! But I love being with the members, and this next week we as a district are starting to go to each family and help them to create there Family mission plan, just for their family.It is exciting and we set up a system and a way for us to track it all and as us missionaries rotate Dinner apps, they will report back and we will work with the families to do more missionary work hoefuly! You should all set up a family mission plan: we are focusing on making it for them, wheather there plan is to give out 4 Book of Mormons in 6 months, or introduce a friend to the missionaries, or invite them to church, something they feel as a family will stretch them to do missionary work but also realistic! We are excited to see what happens with it and we know it will strengthen the ward!

Also I had a pretty incredible miracle sunday night, we were eating Dinner and all of a sudden the phone rang. I have been working to set up driving lessons to work towards taking the test to get my full british liscense. It is expensive and a lot of work and a tough test, so lessons are needed! But I was looking online for a good reasonably priced instructor that would be willing to do it in an automatic car, mission vehicles are all automatic. But had no luck with that, so I goodles some automatic instructors in derby and about 30 came up. There was one that I instantly looked to: it was a private owned company, but I felt that despite the price being a bit higher than others to go ahead and do this one, so I called the lady, no answer, so i left a message. I said if she didnt call back by tonight, I Would try some others. No call back, but We had no time to call others, so i just put it off till Monday. Sunday evening I got that call and it was Mandy Jackson the driving instructor, we talked a bit about lessons and explained to her that I was a missionary from my church and why I was doing it, and that all explained my accent to her as well. But she asks if its the church of jesus Christ and I asked if she knew about it and ends up that she did lessons with an Elder and they ended up teaching her, and she was preparing to be baptised! Ends up that they stopped coming around for one reason or another, and she never found out why! But she was all for the church and loved going and attending the activities too. I have a lesson on Tuesday morning, and am excited to talk to her about it more! It was a reminder to me that the lords hand is in Everything, even driving lessons!

Also another miracle! So for New years we had to be in by 6, some crazy things around, just better to be in, but we came back and sis peronnt made us crepes, and we got to watch 17 miracles! It was a good time, and fun to just relax a bit! Derek you were out till 11:45! I dont think I could even stay up that late anymore haha! But the next day the streets were EMPTY! literraly I think we talked wtih 10 people that day. That evening we were finding and still nobody was outside, it was tipping rain, and nobody out, we just kept walking around, and looking for people to actuallly talked to, We finally found a few, but after an hour and a half in the rain we headed back towards our flat, as we were hurrying home to change out of our soaked clothes and into dry ones, we saw one more person down the street, we kept going, but as we kept walking we felt that we should turn back and talk to him! Turns out Taz has had a rough life, he was a bit drunk as most of England is on New Years day, but we testified of the Plan of Salvation and he beleived us when we said it was no coincidence we met him on the street in the rain tonight. He lives with his girlfiriend and we are going to go around and see him again. As we walked home, I felt a bit dryer and not so soaking wet, and a happiness I cant explain. Hew would ever imagine I would love working in the rain so much!

Hey I also Finally got my MRI results back and all good news, he did say I have something called adhesive capusalitis or something and that is why my shoulder is still not 100% but he said it should heal just fine on its own, and he may do some Physio therapy in 2 weeks if he thinks it may help! So all is well and Im back in the game!

We are also working with a recent convert Tabitha to get her family history started, she is from Zimbabwe and its very confusing and difficult but its been fun to work with her, with the little info we know about it and see how much happiness it brings her! She says it makes her so happy inside, I cant beleive Tan will be able to do those names you found in family history soon! Size 11 shoes- Tan you are the Man!

But another good week and another good week to come! its 2014 and Ive been thinking alot about this past year, its been a year of learning and growth, and part of it was spent on my mission, which will always be special to me, but Im excited for the new days to come! New years is always a time to change and become better, so im excited to see what the lord has instore for me to become better! Love you all, and welcome to the world Baby Clay! Happy New Year!

Well ,long time no Chat! It was so good to see you all on Christmas and you all look so good, but also different! Tan you are the man and I loved your ring, your getting so grown up, not my little tan man anymore! Naes I loved the onesie and hope you liked it, your so grown up as well and are even more beutiful as ever, and im glad someone understands about the MRI uncomfortablness! Jordy, thank you for my gift and I knew you picked it out becuase it was so cute, not saying mum doesnt pick out cute stuff too haha but I love it and thank you for it! Dallin, I could not get over you! You are a miracle and Look Amazing! Im not going to lie I was a bit nervous to see you and hear you, but you look wonderful and it truely is a miracle! Keep up all your hard work! Im so proud of you, and told President and sis Rasmussen and they loved hearing all about you! Amy your belly is adorable  and Happy Birthaday tomorrow! When are you do, I feel like one monday im just going to pop open the email and it will say hello you have another nephew! Im so excited! Tara when are you due and the boys are so cute and Ty is doing so well! Tj what would we do without you? We probably would have to just skype in silence! haha Mom is so was so good to see you and hear your voice and Dad even though you made me a bit jealous with that cinnamon roll, it was soo good to see you and loved you in your beanie! haha Can you send some pictures of Christmas next week! What did everyone get?? How did Ty and Lev opening their presents! Ty was so cute on his motorcylce rollercoaster and talks so well! I loved the Thomas S. Monson! He will make a great missionary some day! I would have just been happy to sit and watch you all, it was crazy to all at once see everyone, but I loved it and was sad it went by so fast! Thank you so SO SO much for the parcels and Gifts I got! I didnt even get to say thank you! But Tara thank you for the frame and pictures (i think you accidently sent Lindas paper to me as well haha) but that family picture is so cute and you look beautiful as usual! But thank you, I loved it and the frame is hanging next to our area map! Thank you mama for the gift as well, the blanket which is now sitting on my bed, and the scarfs as well! I love the thick one and sister peronnet did as well! Thank you for the shirt too, I love it! Everything was great and I was spoiled so much on that day! Derek Im sorry your case was a bit different, but I hope you get your packages soon- do you really have to put Jesus on the parcel to get it there safe, I sent you one for Christmas so look for it as well! But Skype was so goooood and I still just sit and smile when I think of it! I forgot half the questions I was going to ask but still good! How is Sally the Mustang doing? How is Grandpa doing- both Grandpas?

Christmas was good and we ate and ate and skyped and ate! But it was fun to be all around the families and join in on everything! We walked into one home and Home alone was playing and I almost screamed for joy, but of course we were obedient and they turned it off haha! But the 3 seconds I saw of the part where Marv was about to say Wow what a hole, brought back some good memories! I loved being a missinoary during Christmas and allowing my testimony to grow on the divinty of the saviour! I know he lives and loves us all and am so grateful I got to focus on Christ so much more than any other christmas I have in the past! Christmas on a mission is something I will never have again, which makes me sad, but I am so grateful for the oppurtunity to have it! The study I had that morning, and many other ones leading up to Christmas is something Ill never forget.

This week was probably one of our best weeks number wise and experience wise in my whole mission or about that! It was amazing and Sister Peronnet wasnt feeling well and we had 2 days not full pros either! It was so fun! We taught many lessons and also got 2 new investigators! We finally were able to teach Jonathen from Nigera and he is the man! I love him so much! He has this deep smoker type voice and loves the lord more than anyone i know. He says he wants to come out preaching with us! haha But we taught him the 1st lesson and began to read the Book of Mormon. He says it is a fantastic book and he knows it is true. He loves coming to Church and came to the carol service they did on Christmas day! He is on a baptismal date for the 18 of January and we still have lots of connections to help him make and teach! but He is the coolest guy and although it is hard to teach becuase he talks a lot! haha I have allready learnt so much from him. It was pretty neat the other day we were teaching him and in the middle of us testifying about how God is our loving Heavenly father his neighbor (he lives in a flat complex of a bunch of single bedrooms and one living room and kitchen) comes in and interupts by saying hey want some coffee? haha we said oh thats ok and turn back to Jonathan, but he comes over and introduces himself to us and his name is Artin. He continues to come and say are you sure you dont want coffee...tea? a couple other times, and finally I explained to him we dont drink Coffee haha, but I got the impression, and I was studying this in teaching skills in preach my gospel to invite him to listen to what we had to say, so i did and he said he would finish his coffee and come and sit down! he did and it turns out he comes from muslim descent but his mum is christian and he is in the middle to figure out what he wants. We taught him the Book of Mormon and how to pray and he said he would try to make it to chruch tomorrow! It was a neat expereince to actually do what preach my gospel tells us to do and it actually works and we get another new investigator! I figured out the key to missionary work is to do exactly what PMG says! haha that simple follow the spirit and do what PMG says and how! Took me long enough to figure that one out! haha Miracles again...there everyewhere!

England use to not be a baptising mission and not a very successful one at that, but the Lord is really hastening his work, even in Cold wet England, people are being prepared!

Karen and Jackie are also doing good and we are teaching much more than before and the success in our area is booming at the moment! Such a blessing to be able to witness it and to be apart of it! Jackie texted us the other day and said she made a goal to read one chapeter in the Book Of Mormon a day! and I also got to pass on a referral to the Tucson, Arizona mission, her daughter! Preatty cool! The more success we see as missionaries the more confidence in Heavely Father that the work we are doing is so inportant and is real and happeneing now!

I havent really been able to reade Dereks emails super well, becuase I get them all a week behind everyone else and just get enough time to skim through them so i took some time to read through them and Derek! You are the man!  I didint realize how far in the middle of no where you are! You are a great example to me and am grateful to be serving at the same time as you! Keep up the good work and I hope your Christmas was good, it made my day to hear your voice and see your brown tan face haha! im so white now haha! But really keep up the good work!

What are the plans for New years? We have to be in by 6 oclock haha too much craziness outside, plus we live in student housing so way too much craziness going on!

Happy New Years!

Aloha family!!!

Aloha family!!! (man Hawaii does sound nice and warm...)

Its allready Monday again, this is mental. Time goes by way to fast here! This week I have become quite popular in the mission becuase of the number of packages I have for Christmas! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa and mama and Tara for the Packages, they are sitting under our mini Christmas Tree waiting to be opened on Christmas, but dont worry the Zone leaders even took of the custom label with what is inside of it before they gave them to me! haha But thank you so much, I really dont need anything, but the thought and support from my family is the best and thank you! Did my secret sib get my present yet?? Keep your eyes peeled! UofA is number 1 in the nation...good thing I rep my UofA shirt (right next to my Aggies shirt) all the way over here! I also got the notes from the sisters and RS which was such a cool idea and I loved reading each one over and over while sitting next to the heater!

This week was full of miracles like each week normally is. I have decided Miracles are so real and Miracles happen, just like that shirt says! Everyday the Lords hand is all around us...we are so lukcy, it is just our job to distiguish and recognize that it is the Lords hand and not just conincidence!

This week we worked 3 AUF's (address unknown files from church headquarters- the lost sheep program) (Derek are you working those as well??- i think its a world wide mission thing going on now-pretty exciting) and AUF's is basically guarnateed miracles! This week we went up to Chaddedson...our area is huge and is full of about 11 small villages spread out throughout Derbyshire and it talks a while to get to them, but anyway we headed up the Chaddedson for the day to finish an AUF we started and teach a lesson from a lady we had found early when we started working it. She ended up canceling but we worked the area and began to knock 20 doors around the home. We knocked and slam, knocked, and slam. This area is a bit dodge and very low income and full of interesting people, but we continued knocking and ended up 1 hour later with 3 return appoitments including a LA we knocked into a coulple weeks past who no records here in Derby! Miracles!! We also stopped Richard the 80 year old man we met at the poppy apelle and invitied him to church and he excepted!! haha Low and Behold Sunday morning we see Richard wobbling with his walker into church and he sees us and shouts with his old man voice...well hello my sisters! he loved church despite the fact he could barely see who was speaking and not hear much , but we cam prepared and brought the massive BOM and bible and ended up setting a time for us to come round this week! haha He was loving the attention at church and told all of his gold war stories of serving 15 years in the british Legion. Richard is the Man! haha

This saturday we also had the Sister training leaders (girl ZL kind of) come down with there car to help us work some far out AUF's that are in our area but an hour bus ride away! But they came and we found so many great people but the most exciting is this philipiano family that was found that has 6 kids. They are excited for us to come around, but dang satan has allready stepped in and the kids have chicken pox so we have to wait a bit! haha But were excited, good things are coming up in our area!

There has been one tough thing, we can not fine Chris anywhere! We have stopped by, called, he doesnt answer and his phone is off and buzzer to his flat. We are getting nervous, so maybe just keep him in your prayers! We also got another new investigator this week named Karen, a referral from a member! She is in a wheelchair and has some severe health problems due to alcohol, but so sweet. We simply taught that she was a child of God and the member bore a powerful testimony about how she was inportant and a daughter of God, she ended up in tears and has began to read the Book of Mormon. Members are so inportant in the work, it cant be done without them!

Speaking of members, our ward mission leader is a legend! He has been working so hard and has come up with incredible ideas to implement in the Derby ward....hopefully (us missionaries want this) a 2nd ward soon! But we have all been working hard and creating ideas for this next year to be a powerhouse year. We have so many activities and plans including a ward MTC (workshops on missionary work), culture nights, a competition between the missionaries and members to see who can give out the most BOM, a day of the ward working with us on the streets, missionary firesides ran by us, sports night each week, chapel tours done by members and missionaries, an Open your mouth month, so many exciting things. The mission is all talking about Derby ward, and not because of the missionaries but the ward members and what is boiling! It is so humbling and exciting to be a part of! The members and the missionaries must work together to be successful, its the only way to really hasten this work! I hope I stay here, we actually find out tonight where everyone is going? I could go, or stay, but who knows! Ill let you know next week!

Zone pday was fun! Sports and pizza...good day! This friday we also have our mission christmas conference with everyone so Im really excited to see everyone I have not seen in a while, including sister andersen my girl and sister obies sanchez! It should be a really good day! Christmas time as a missionary is amazing, so different than the normal christmas season and I love it!! We are able to do our best to focus on the spirit of Christ this christmas! The offereings we give up is for example: there is a list of them given from president to us and I chose to focus on offering baptism and the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone and focusing on becoming a true preach my gospel missionary, and a few other things. Just things we are devoting ourselves to become more like the saviour this Christmas! It is powerful!

We officially got up our Christmas tree and no results yet! Grandpa Allen is my prayers today, i know he will be fine and another miracle his cancer did no spread. Our family is so blessed, and I know the Lord knows our situation and knows what we can all handle! He has many prayers coming his way! How is Teddi's eye? Amy is due next month?? So crazy and i can wait to see this sweet boy! Could I maybe get some more address for family; I need Dev and Teds address and some other family members! Please and thank you! Are we doing christmas cards this year? What is everyones plans for Christmas, What is your skype name? Ya 3 way may work, that would be incredible, figure it out becuase I will probably skype evening here which is morning in the states and afternnon in Argentina?? Not sure but fingers crossed, leave it to TJ! Hope everything is well! How is the Dally man doing? Love you all! This little boy in church said something that struck me and made me smile. They were talking about santa, him and some more of his 6 year old friends... someone said man..santa is the best, and this little boy Jacob, stops them all and says no....Jesus is the best!

Hope we can all Focus on Christ and remeber that the christmas spirit is the spirit of Christ. We are so blessed to be in this gospel and to have the knowledge of our saviour. He truely is the best! Share that spirit with others...

Kebabs, Miracles, Rain, and More Miracles

Well....I have to start off with an embaressing story....all 4 of us ameircan missionaries where under the impression that Thanksgiving was Thursday....embaressing. We told all the members and everything. We go into district meeting on Thursday and so thankful and are talking on Gratitude, when Elder Patten the DL says..Elders & Sisters, today is not Thanksgiving! This is what happens when you are away from America for 8 months and nobody even understands Thanksgiving besides a holiday americans eat a lot of food. We all got a pretty good laugh this week  on that and made a pact to not tell anyone of our embaressing encounter. Well Have a good Thanksgiving this week! Sounds like Fun, and please eat lots of pumpkin pie for me. I did manage to get my hands on one can, which is pretty much impossible here, but we will have to do it next week. Its the last week of the month and we are low on MSF (Missionary money). But This last week was really good! We had a Dinner app every day this week, we are so spoiled here. The elders dont always have one, but we (us sisters) have decided we are loved more and are fed every night! This week I went to the doctor as well and he says everything is looking good and getting better real quick. He was quite suprised actually, I wanted to ask him, do you know why im healing so quickly?? Intro in the 1st lesson.... He is sending me for an MRI on my shoulder just to make sure 100% is fine inside there, but im feeling pretty good and looking even better:) haha This week was exciting for a Recent convert we have becuase she got her temple recomend to go the the temple for baptisms! She had the biggest grin on her face and has never been happier she says. Bishop came over with us on Thursday for her interview and she was so excited and couldnt wait for Saturday! Well..long story short, she ended up not going on satruday :( so sad. But we called and called and got a call from her ride saying she is still not here where they were suppose to meet, and so we ran as fast as we could to her flat. Her windows were open and all the lights were on and food still out and her purse still on the table with her coat. We were really worried about her and she still didnt answer her phone. I decided the best idea was to climb in her window to see if everything was all right! haha Well she was not in their and finally crawled back out worried. We said a quick prayer and then headed home puzzled. She calls a couple hours later explaining the  suition, but in the end she wasnt able to attendd, but she got her recommend and is now excited to do family history at the centre to get names for her to go again. haha quite the scare that our RC had just disapered but in the end, all worked out fine.

We had a DA this week with the little fairs and they made homeade chips and Burgers. They bring out our huge burgers and on top of each of ours is a homeade flag of America and Switzerland! haha So cute and the kids were so proud to give them to us even though the american flag was backwards, such a fun night there! We also did a lot of Less Acitve work and even got the YSA to come out with us on splits to go see some YSA less actives since there are about 100 of them! haha Lots of work to be done!

So recently the Mission home has sent our area a list of what we call AUF names: (Address Unknown files) These are names that the church has record of but think they are the wrong address, so they send the missionaries out to serach for these lost sheep who are all very less active for the past 20 plus years! Were bringing in the lost sheep they call it. Basically we take these names (we got about 16 of them) and go to this persons house and then knock 20 doors around and work the area and miracles happen. Missionaries Love AUFs becuase they = miracles and finding people to teach. Alot of the time the actual AUF wants nothing to do with us and usually slams the door, but we always find people to teach around these AUFs. So we have been working these AUFs like crazy and they are all over our area. Our Area is Huge and some of them take 45 plus minutes on a double decker bus to get out to just one way! We worked one specific AUF and the person no longer lived ther and we had about 15 min left before we had to catch a bus to dinner. We knocked and knocked: dreading each knock becuase it hurts your fingers so bad and no answer. We decided ok, one more door. we knock and a lady name Michelle answers. just in the middle of Tea (dinner :) Thats for you mum: a definition of each word I use) and we tell her about the church and the Book of Mormon, her eyes were huge and lit up so bright, she actually let us into her home and told her a bit about the Book of Mormon and set a return app for the following week. She was so excited and wants to raise her 3 kids (11, 6, 3) in a strong foundation in Jesus Christ! We walked away from that home into the cold that night, feeling pretty warm. That is the best feeling, miracles! We actually just taught her this morning! she loved it and clung to every word we said! She agreed to be baptised when she knew it was true and has allrady read over 12 chapters all by herself! She is 28 and has had some crazy trials in her life and is so ready for the gospel! She is attending church this sunday! and we are so excited! Blessings and miracles everywhere. They never stop! Dad you said a quote in your email about praying as if it depended on the Lord and then working as if it depended on you.. I just read that quote in a talk this morning! and wrote it all down! I love it! Thank you for bringing it back to my mind this morning!

Also we had Eddie come to Church on Sunday! We have been praying for this moment forever! He loved it and walked away and saying in his african accent...sooo beautiful and shaking his head! haha He loved it! We have some other africans in our ward and one man Lucky Kamba came up and put his arm around him and hit it off so well. He ended up giving him a ride home and then staying at his home for a bit to show him his favourite chapters in the Book of Mormon. We have such a great ward and we are preparing for the primary nativity presenatation, so its back to primary for me and its so fun because they all sing songs I have really never heard before, but sing really old traditional english songs! So cute and they are so excited to dress up at shepherds and angels! I also played the piano for sacrament meeting, primary, and a song the Young Women are singing at Night in excellence on Tuesday! Thank you again mama! Your lessons you gave me are paying off! I also am playing for a christmas conference for the entire mission on the 13 of December where each zone had some missionaries asked to performe a christmas song and president asked me and some missionaries to get o holy night arranged and together! It will be so much fun to see everyone (all 260odd missionairies) I havent seen in forever! Its just around the corner!

So right now we have Eddie on a date for the 21 of Decemeber and he is solidly progressing towards then and Chris is still working towards the 14 of Dec. and Now Michelle as well. The Lord is blessing us with large and small miracles and our area is growing. The members have been getting much more involved as well, which is what president has wanted us to focus on as well is getting the ward involved and we got 2 referrals on sunday! Our efforts in the cold and wet rain every day are paying off and we are truely seeing the fruits of our labours. We also had an emergencey switch on Sunday. We now have elder Besinger (english) in Derby instead of Elder Shipp. We now have 3 americans, one philipino, one from Switzerland, and one from England on our Derby team! haha Pretty fun!

I also had a first this week! I had a english Kebab this week! so bad for you, but you have to try it once in your life (YOLO) and the elders have been coaxing us for weeks to go to a chipy and try one! haha So we did, not too bad, but Ill still with my rice cakes and peanut butter still! haha

Teddi- I hope all is going ok with you and you are in my prayers for sure! I know the Lord is watching over us wengerts especially (we are a troublesome group arnt we) and know that all will work out. Love you.

Mum..I promise I will contain my excitement and not open any presents, my secret sib present should be being sent this week! It might be better to send packages to the mission home as well from now on, i dont know how long i will for sure be in derby! Transfers are on the 11 of December! But whatever works out!

That is so funny about Jordy being sung to and ya she is such a babe, im suprised not everyone wants to take her! Send lots of pictures! When is it?? I remember that dance, so much work, but so fun and so worth it! Have you got your dress yet? Basketball tourny soon and Jordan and Janae both playing! So fun, what postions are you playing??

Derek stay nice and cool....im jealous! Ill send some cool your way! Dereks biggest problem is marriages while over here its word of wisdom, I have never seen so many pubs in my life, they line the streets and Word of wisdom is a hard one to teach here! haha Funny have different but similar our missions are! I love it! You look great dery! Dang...Oregon lost to UofA! That is legit, doesnt stetson Baird play for them? haha Not much talk of college Football over here! haha I havent seen a proper "football" in ages!

Mom- to answer your questions- jumpers are like a sweatshirt or a hoddy and boots are like "cleats" haha. I almost forget how to describe it haha im losing it! But all is well and this week should be great. We have zone meeting and lots of work to be done! Have a great Thanksgiving! Send me lots of pictures! and Please eat some pumpkin pie for me! Full of Thanks

s it seriously Thanksgiving! When did this happen! and to answer our question No Thanksgiving here! Im sure some members will try and mimic Thanksgiving dinner which will be fun and if I dont get pumpkin pie this week, I am determined to find a can of pumpkin and make one myself. You have to have pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving! My favourite! But This week sounds great! CONGRATS Tan the Man! a Champian and looking buff in your uniform! I was thinking of your game all week and assumed you won! Good job and I loved all the signs and posters! I envy your jumpers and ligh jackets you were wearing! You would get laughed at here if you just wore that! haha! But you learn to embrace it and think about all the cute winter hats and gloves and scarfs you can wear! I got a package from Aunt Lisa AND Grandma and Grandpa this week and thank you so much! I loved the sweedish fish and chocolate covered sunflower seeds! So fun and thank you for the chapstick and headbands! It reminded me of when we would take those skinny headbands and shoot them at the cottage cheese roof and they would all stick up there! haha But thank you so much Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt lisa! I loved them and am so lucky and thankful for them!

Im feeling pretty good now and were working more and more each day. President just wants me to go slowly into and not rush anything but Im feeling good! Once again a true miracle- 3 weeks later, just some bruises and scratches left! Such a blessing and I am so thankful the lord is aware of his misionaries and protects them! Miracles are real and I am much more aware of the big and especially the small ones I see everyday! To answer some more questions: we did see Leroy the big guy with the bab, but just like you expereinced with the sisters, which is a VERY real thing for missionaries we got flogged! It is very disappointing but keep going out wih the sisters! I love that you go out wih them! I bet they are the best! you will hve to send a pic of them and you! We saw the old man at the poppy apelle but he was on his way out! But he loves us and yelled as we walked away "Man...I wish I was younger" as him and his walker went the other way, but we are going to teach him this week and hopefully get him to church!

We also put 2 of our investigators on baptismal date! Chris is back on a date for the 14 and Eddie from Zimbabwe is on  date for the 22 of Dec! Chris is doing ok, but we just have to get him to church, the main thing he is missing! That is one of the hardest things as missionaires to expereince on Sundays. You do everything you possible can, even wake up early to bang on his window 4 times sunday morning to wake him up and they still chose not to come. Agency..sometimes I dont appreciate it, but I know progress is all in the Lords time! We taught Eddie the Plan of Salvation this week and he loved it! He said it means everything to him, over and over again. He is so excited to see him mum again someday who passed away a year ago! He is so humble and basically said what we would say to him about reading and praying about the BOM! It takes time and dedication my sistas (in his afircan accent), I need to do it every day and I will fill of the lords power! I love him so much! We also got a new invstigator this week who was a referral! Missionaries love referrals! The Lord is blessing our area and it is a testimony strenghtner to me that the Lord knows me and knows I cant go 100% right now and he knows that and sees us doing our best and he is picking up the rest!

Elder Dyches was Amazing! SO inspiring and I learnt so much from him. He is so down to earth and his wife is so sweet! We all got to talk and meet him for a bit and of course I had to tell the story to him of how I got hit by a car, but we talked about miracles! Such an incredible expereince to speak with a man so close to God. I could feel his spirit as I spoke to him. Our Zone conference was on Setting Goals and being Accountable and teaching skills and I have so much to apply to our work this week, but its a new challange to apply it all. I love it! He said so many incredible things but what I loved the most was he said " You call it your mission, but it really is not". He talked about how the Lord can do so much more with you, then you can do with yourself. It is all about turning yourself over the the lord, which is hard to do, but a noble and worthy task.

Heitje is married!! haha wow when did this happen! I need to see pictures of that! The mini mission was great this week and she loved it! I learnt alot and hopefully we helped her to prepare for her mission! It made me think of how I got my mission call about a year ago and look where we are now. Time is a funny thing and goes by so fast. Live it up, because it goes fast!

I also got a package a week back from my good friend Kelsey Hess who is serving in San Diego and she sent me this cool Cali shirt! I had to show here im rocking it across the world! Dad I got the book and it is amazing!I hope my words can live up to some of the words allready written it, and thanks for the words from Bishop as well, I love that and will share that with others at Dinnner apps! Speaking of dinner apps, we are so spoiled here! We have DAs every day this week till the 29th! haha We are loved in Derby ward!

This Thanksgiving week I am full of Gratitude and thanks. I am thankful for my life, especially from these last couple weeks, I know I am watched over. Looking back on these past couple months with Dallins accident and then me getting hit by a car out of the blue, life is precious and we need to give thanks for it, we never know what may lie around the corner. I am grateful for my family. I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people all over the world. I am blessed to have this incredible knoweldege that my Saviour lives and knows and loves me and so blessed to be on a mission, I know each day is shaping me into a better person and I love my mission. We have so many things to be thankful for: the good times and the bad times. They all contribute to our wellbeing. Enjoy Thanksgiving and remember to pause to thank our Heavenly Father for the many things we have in our lives. President emailed and said  has been said that one single thankful thought raised to heaven is the most perfect prayer. Thank you for everything.

Blessings...

Hello Lovies!

Well I survived a week in our flat. Not going to lie, its bee a bit of a tough week not being able to do the work I so badly want and need to do, but I know its important to heal up 100 % before I go full speed ahead. We did little bits and bobs here and there throughout the week. I have really learnt a lot because I have had so much time to study and think about things. I am truly so blessed looking back to last Friday. It is a miracle and knows the Lord has big plans for me to do in England. I’m learning patience, being humbled, and learning to more fully rely on the Lord. I have so many people that have taken good care of us this week, with meals and rides, so don’t worry mum I am being well taken care of it and should be back to 110% hopefully at the end of this week, in the mean time we get creative of ways to be productive in the Flat. Our area book is past up to date, our LA lists, flawless, and ask me to recite the movie the Lamb of God or the Restoration, I could do it no problem. I have mastered making homemade cinnamon Rolls and flapjacks. But like I said a week of Learning and I am grateful for it! Im feeling much better, just my shoulder is a bit stiff still and my knee is a bit tricky as well, but were getting it all taken care of it and I can feel the prayers of many, because most people can not beleive how fast im healing! Miracles happen eh??

When I was in the hospital I recieved a blessing from Elder Taylor and Elder Ak'abrand (sweedin). During the blessing it was incredible. For 1 minute everthing went silent, literally quiet. No loud nurses, laughing, beeping of machines, everything was still and quiet. It was me, the elders, and Heavenly Father, and the feeling of the spirit. I dont remember much but do remeber them saying so confidently I Would have no broken bones and would heal. The spirit was so strong, and their confidence in the Lord also gave me confidence and had the feeling everything would be ok. No doubts. So grateful for the experiences we have in our life that help our testimony grow.

This week marked the end of my 5^th transfer and Derby got some exciting news! We got another set of missionaries in Derby, so we now have 6 Missionaries I Derby! Elder Patten and Maligon (from the Philipines), Elder Hess, and Elder Shipp, and me and Sister Peronnet! 6 teams with lots of work to be done in Derby! President has high expectations for Derby and we know we can accomplish them. We have some big plans and can’t wait to put them into action. The Dream Team

This week we got a new investigator….like I said Heavenly Father is continuing to bless me and our area. Eddie is from Zimbabwe and is the Man! We found him on the street after getting a distinct prompting to stop him. We set up and app and he cancelled and flogged once, but Saturday we taught him the restoration and is excited about reading the BOM and praying about it. He got called into work on Sunday or else he would have been there. He left his other church because he just didn’t “feel it” and said excitingly yes! To Baptism and said that is the whole point he invited us over! We are really excited about Eddie as well! Chris is progressing well and has now done 10 days with not smoking! He is very proud of himself and also very committed to finding out if the church is true or not. He wants so badly to know for himself and its exciting to watch him continue to change each time we see him. Who knew you could gain so much love for 32 year old man you met on the street 5 weeks ago. Another Blessing of the gospel.

Halloween was really exciting for us….haha. President said all missionaries had to be in our flats by 6 pm due to past things (dodge) haha. So we decided to order some Pizza and ice cream and watch Legecy together! Not too bad of a night really! What did you all do for Halloween???

This week really has not been to exciting to be honest but everything is going well! Tell me about it Derek! I loved the 1^st line of your email! What is it with Wengert and Cars! I tell you! But hey it does make a good mission story!

Life is good, I got to teach 2 lessons this week, and Im learning so much each day. I know the Lord does not give us anything we can not handle, and he knows this would be no big deal for me haha! Im grateful for the trials we have that allow us to grow stronger and better. If we did not go through pain and hard things, we would never progress. I foud a new favourite quote this week " I strive for perfection but am content with perfection" -Brad wilcox

This saviour is the only way to perfection and we wont make it their now, but we progress each day to get closer and closer! We are so blesed to have this knowledge.

Derek! Congrats on being called as a Trainer!! You learn so much while training, and you always have a special bond with them. I love Sister Andersen and she is my daughter and Sister Peronnet, my step daughter! Im excited to see pictures of you and your greenie and You will be suprised how much they teach you!

Take care of everything at home, mum any idea if a costco card would work better for me to get some things I need over here? There is a costco here in Derby! Life is good, missionary work is amazing and the best thing to be doing right now. Shayna Binnion may be getting baptised, the lord truely does prepare Everyone to except the gospel someday! well at least it makes a good mission story....miracles are still real.

What is it with Wengert's and cars? Are they just out to get us all or what. Have mercy as mum would say. But really I am so lucky. Let me start out by mum dont freak out. I am ok. But it was really good to hear your voice, not going to lie I kind of forgot what you all sounded like so thanks for the refresher. So this week was a bit crazy. Thursday we had to go to the mission home to speak with presdient about a few things with my companion but she is doing so much better now, and then friday Me and Muhammad the taxi driver had a bit of a go at it. Lets just say I won...

So Friday we had excahnages with the Sister Training Leaders (aka Sister zone leaders kind of haha). We finished weekly planning and then went to go pick up sister peronnets new bike we bargened like a champ for. We got her a new years model for half off...we were so proud. She is a beaut, But then sis peronnet and sister Mueller (from Germany) swapped and they went to teach chris and we went to drop off the bike in the flat and then hurry to head to Nottingham. We dropped the bike and then hurried to the car. I remeber looking both ways. And yes I looked the "right" way I have lived here for 7 months I know how traffic works. sister Hanks who I was on exchnanges with (Most exciting exhange of her life) crossed then I waited for another car to pass then remember looking both ways and then went. I guess...or so im told the taxi could have been speeding a bit fast, phone, who knows. We live on a bit of a hill and I crossed just at the middle of it, so he must have not seen me if he was speeding, I dont know but all in all he hit me on the right side. I am lucky and have been thinking all about it these past couple days. Heavenly Father has some serious work for me and I better get quick soon so I can dive in and repay him for taking the hit for me. They said it was a pretty good hit, I guess it hit my right leg which is a miracle because absolutly no broken bones! And daddy no offense takin about the fat joke and yeah I won, I spider webbed his window haha, pretty crazy huh! But I remember coming to up on the asphalt as a Doctor (another miracle) was driving behind and came out and stabalized my head, they said I should have been hurt pretty bad, but all I wanted was to get up because I had asphalt in my eye haha and very uncomfortable. But an ambulance was there in a couple minutes or so, and just to be safe put a collar and boarded me up and took me to the hospital. But yes I did get to tell them all about missionary work, or so I remember they gave me some pretty good laughing gas, so hopefully I got all the details correct about the 1st vision haha.  They were so funny and said I kept them all intertained very well, I do my best! Worst part about it was that they cut off my scarf, my favourite one, I begged for them not too, but worse came to worse. I guess broken bones or cut scarf, Ill take the scarf.

But they took me to hospital and not going to lie, I felt like I Was laying on a hard board and that I had just been hit by a car. They gave me some paracetmal (wich is like tylenol lame I know) and waitied. The zone leaders came along and they gave me an incredible blessing, blessing me with no broken bones and strength to heal quick and patience. The spirit despite the fact that we were in AandE in the hospital with people all around us, was strong, and as a little scary as it was, I knew everything would be ok. They finally got me some good meds thanks to Elder Taylor and then xrayed my right leg, chest, and shoulder. My shoulder probably hurt the worst, they said I landed on it pretty good. Ive just got some really cool bruises and scratches and cuts and more bruises, but im ok. A mircale. My leg is pretty sore and it hurts a little to walk on, But Heavenly Father Literally took the car hit for me, I really do beleive it. I am so blessed. 6 hours later I walked out of the hospital in missed matched pajamas and no shoes because I didnt pack any for the exchanges, arm in a sling, but very humbled and with an excpereince that I know Heavenly Father's hand was in. I do not doubt that for one second.

I am so lucky, well its not luck, Heavenly Father watches over his missionaries. An expereince I will never forget...

 

The rest of the week before then has been really good. Chris is really making progression step by step. He is on day 4 again for the stop smoking program and each time he is getting stronger and stronger. He is the man and really beleive he was prepared to meet us a month ago. I treuly love this man and am willing to even take a car for him if I had to again...haha well maybe not that but almost anything. The best part about this week is Chris finally came to church on Sunday. I knew he would enjoy the primary program so we really wanted him to go and feel the spirit as the children sang. We called him, same old thing, didnt answer. Called him again and said he had another restless night, but decided to come anyways. We picked him up 10 min later and all drove to church. Yan was also there which is his last time here, he moves back to China on Thursday and we are so sad, but I know he will make an impact in china with the gospel some day, the Lord has a plan for him. We fed us dinner that night (authentic chinese food) and we watched a video on Jesus Christ. I know Yan was suppose to teach me something. He didnt teach me one thing but many things and I am excited to stay in contact and see what the Lord has in plan for him. Am I sad he did not get baptised...yes, but I trust Heavenly Father has a bigger plan for Yan. I truely love that man.

We also are blessed and got a new investigator on Saturday. The Sister Trainging leaders stayed over night with us and helped teach our lessons the next day as I relaxed and ate special K and Peanut butter haha. Just a bit too sore to move haha. But Quehyn is from Vitanam and had a lot of questions for us and has some potential, we are also teaching Eddie tonight. Monday night on our way to FHE, we were running late. I got the feeling to stop this man, but we were late and coudnlt pull out a card in time. So I smiled he smilied and let him pass me. Then it was as if I ran into a brick wall and said Sister Peronnet we need to stop that man. We turned and ran towards him and talked with him for a bit. He has a Book of Mormon and is looking for a church. He then asked us to come over and teach him...Elect! haha Brother Eddie he calls himself. This week dont worry we are taking it easy and Bullseye gets a little rest herself. Sister Rasmussen and Bishops wife here are taking the best care of me so dont worry about me, Im being spoiled to bits. But thanks for caring!! This week will be resting mostly, and transfers are on wednesday, crazy huh! % transfers done! Love you all so much and dont worry I promise all is well!

EBM literally Earth's Best Mission

Hello Lovey's!

Sounds like a busy week for all. Mum I would love to read Kimberelys talk i bet it was so good! and I do always feel like a princess in her house. Teddi and Amy could you maybe send me some of that homeade green and red chili..im dying for some! How is Grandpa and carol and all the wengert clan doing? What are they all up too? Derek sounds like a hard week but the best thing about that is hard weeks are followed by blessed weeks. Like Elder Christophersen said in one of my favourite talks, sometimes we have to be chopped down a bit in order to be built up again to grow. Ya we had some rough DA's this week but on the bright side you NEVER will guess what we had for dinner at a familys house. Navajos Tacos!! haha Proper, well english proper Navjo Tacos! I could kiss this sweet old mans cheecks as he sat it all dow in front of us and they talked about how another missionary had introduced it to them, not as good as the ones at home (no green chili) but not too bad of an English version. I was in Heaven that night! and they sent us home with heaps more for the next day, and you better beleive I taught them about the honey and butter dessert ones! Highlight of the week!

 

This week has been one of the most spirtual weeks of my mission and I loved every minute of it! This week we have had so many once in a lifetime oppurtunities! We had zone meeting up in Nottingham and also a mission activity where we traveled to visit Benbow Farms and also Gadfield Elm Chapel; 2 major historical landmarks in the church and they are in my mission. I am so blessed. We traveled 3 hours on a muggy coach (bus) with our entire zone cramed on but it was so worth it and would do it again any day. We caught a train at 7:13 at the train station which is 35 minutes from our flat so we had to get up pretty early and when we got up to get ready we had another suprise that ll our sockets had blown out, so no hair dryer or straightner, or iron, nothing! haha..we were looking really good. But se lav'e we say.... Such is life.

Our first stop was at Bembow Farms, you will have to look it up on the interent for all the good facts but basically it is where Willfiord Woodruff lived for a long time and there was a pond down there that he dug and created in order to baptise 600 members (very influential orginal members) that affected the prosperaity of the church. The spirit was so sacred and special, truely Gods country. There were 3 zones all gathered there and we sang Come Follow me, and talked about the significance of these pond and how lucky we are to have the knowledge and to be serving the lord as missionaries. There is so much power as missionaries gather together. I loved the spirit. Truely amazing to be able to witness this beautiful farm- a once in a life time expereince I will never forget.

After we crammed back on the coach to travel to Gadfield Elm Chapel- the oldest working Latterday Saint Chapel in the WORLD! I am so lucky. These place as amzing. I stood and sat where some of the greatest men and women have sat and talked and preached the gospel. The spirit was so peacful anda sacred. I stood where President Hinckly stood and planted a tree, where John Taylor committed hundreds to be baptised. Where hundereds of apostles and prophets have stood. I felt a part of something special. Sister Rasmussen talked about all the sacrafice of others and how that compared to what we sacrafice it is nothing. When I went into the MTC Devin wrote me a letter and told me the best adviced Id ever recieved. What May seem like a sacrafice will soon become  a privelage...every day I realize the prievelage I have and how there is no sacrafice. President bore a powerful testimony I will never forget. These 2 places have left a profound impact in my life and I am so lucky and privelaged to have been there to each one of them.

This week we spent a lot of time traveling but still got in some good lessons. We officially committed Christ to begin the 15 steps to stop smoking program we use in our mission- 100 percent garantee if you do it correctly. We walked in and I felt like i was at a boxing match..he said its go time. Im ready bring it on. Id never seen him like this and we plastered pictures of Christ and signs and the 15 steps he needs to do each day to help him to stop smoking in 7 days. We are so excited to see him progress and we have helped him stay busy by taking him to service projects and walks and watching movies with him. Chris is doing good. He didnt make it to church on Sunday which is our next thing to address he has some sleeping problems. But he went 3 days strong, had a rough day and took half a cigerrate said he didnt even enjoy it, but is starting again today. I really think Chris was prepared by Heavenly Father, he said before he went out the day we met him he was praying for help and we met him. The Lord is preparing those to hear the gospel, we as members just have to find them all.

Yan still no on baptism, so that was pretty sad:( I love this man so much. He moves back to China on the 31st, but I know Heavenly Father has a will and plan for him. I have learnt so much from him and continue to do so each day. This week we are praying to find a family and set the goal for that. I am excited and know that when we have righteous desires and put in the effort the Lord delivers. Im excited to find our family.

This next Sunday we have the primary program. There are about 25 primary kids and nobody else in the ward really plays the piano so I spent 2 hours practicing on Sunday and an hour the past 5 sundays practicing! You better belive I know all 10 verses to Follow the Prophet. They are the cutest kids and am the spirit is so sweet and strong as they sing at the top of their lungs. Next sunday should be so cool and Im glad I know how the play the pinao (they have been using the guitar before- kinda neat but no piano) so thank you mother! Thank you for all you did; all the piano lessons are much appreciated and paid off well I would say. Im thinking of teaching a Less Actitive piano lessons so im excited about that!

We have lots of good plans for this week and Im excited to get them rolling! Thank you for the letter Kenny and all the other emails! I loved them all! Life is good. The Church is true. It Rains in England. But I wouldnt want it any other way. Love you all, Make it a good week!

Just another day in paradise

Bonjour My loves! My french is coming along, I know can speak 6 phrases and know how to say Oh Bummer! This week was overall great. There really is no bad weeks on a mission sometimes, especilly looking back on them! Im glad you younger ones got to expereince cleaning ditches! I really do miss those times and any oppurtunity to serve and get dirty and to wear trousers we love! Mum I bet your seminary lessons are the best and its up to you, we will get the ensign eventually as missionaries, I should be ok. We got to watch some more sessions of conference this week during comp study at the church: I wathced Elder Hamilton and he was amazing! Pretty cool we met him.

This week we got to teach a a referel we recieved from an investigator. She fed us before we taught her about the Restoration and Book of Mormon. Man bless her: she fed us a feast and we were so appreciative but im just not sure what I ate really. She said it was chicken, but not really sure! But it was blessed and we slurped it down. Then she made us her homeade famous chocolate mousse, it actually looked pretty good, but as I went to eat it, I pulled out the longest white hair I have ever seen. It just kept coming and coming. Rough day haha and she ended up not being interested, but she is really cool lady, some intersting ideas but non the less we say here: bless her, bless her! We also had a DA with a Recent Convert who is this big black lady who is the happiest person I have ever met. She is actually from Malowey (not sure how to spell it) but she made us a huge spread, I was a bit nervous at first, but it such a blessing to be around the people in my life at this moment. The people you met on your mission have a unique connection and I love it. One of my favourite things about my mission. The people.

This week we had interviews with president as well. President is the man and I am so lucky to have him and his wife as my mission president. He talked to me about how I now have a good chunck of my mission under my belt and how this time now is the most inportant time of my mission, I have no excuses. He was a bit bold, but I needed it. He has high expectations for Derby and I know Heavenly Father has sent me here for specific individuals, I just need to find them! He talked again about the conversation he overheard me and mum had on the day of Dallins accident. He is such an inspiring man and I learnt so much that day. Our area is blessed and things are coming along. Afterwords I was talking with sister Rasmussen and she said the other day she was lookin for a talk on Elder Dallin H. Oaks and she typed Dallin into google and the first thing that came before Dallin H. Oaks was Dallin and Amy Wengert! haha Dallin your famous! She got a big kick out of it!

We had FHE with a investigator and a family in the word and it was wild! As a shoe was flug across the room just missing my face and as the son gave a prayer that was spoken so fast I thought it was in a different language, fighting over the coolest colour pencil....it reminded me of home! I loved it and there was one momet of silence as we talked about the light of christ in our lives that the spirit was strong and manifested to us all. I miss those moments of chaos though and it felt good to be ingulfed in it again.

We taught Yan this week and I felt prompted to teach him about the temple and baptisms for the dead...kind of weird but we went with it. He loves the temple and just kept mumbling chinese words and stroking the picture of the temple. He wants so badly to go inside. I dont undestand Yan sometimes: He needs more time which makes sense. Before 3 months ago he had never heard or expereince God in his life and it all came at once, but he does it all! He paid his fast offerings this sunday and Fasted! I have learned so much from him and he is so special to me. I know that we are doing all we can and whatever the lords will is, is the best for Yan. But we are focusing on Yan and hoping he will set up a date to work towards soon, he is so ready and loves the gospel. Love this tiny chinese man. As we were walking home from an app he asked if he could walk us home to make sure we got home safe and as he walked he said in his broken english "When I around you..I feel God's love" My heart melted and such a sweet moment. I love Yan

Chirs is progressing, he has some rough sleeping problems and sadly didnt make it to church, but he is progressing every day we see him. He loves the gospel and slowly  is taking it all in. He is the man, so humble and wants so badly to follow Heavenly Father.

Jack got baptised this weekened and it was such a sweet expereince. His mum is Less Active but due to some problems in the past, Getting Jack baptised has been a challange. The day finally came on saturday and the spirit was so innocent and strong. Jack was so happy and you could tell despite his set of problems he felt the spirit too. His whole family came who are not active either and overall such a cool experince. I love baptim days, the best feeling, and it gives you the boost for more of that feeling. This is why we do what we do: tract and bike in skirts in the tipping rain, getting yelled at in the streets (anit america things and other dodgy stuff) I would do it over and over for this feeling and the sound of the font feeling in the background. I am so lucky to be apart of the 80 thousand modern day stripling warriors and love having the chance to improve and strive each day. Love you all;Make it a good week.

Life is good today...

What a weekend right! I have never been more throughly excited for confrenece in my entire life. It was so inspiring and so uplifiting I want to convert the whole world as I type! Im glad you enjoyed conference because I sure did. Dad im sorry about the elders, do you have sisters there tell them to put them in place! USU LOST im devod' so sad poor chucky Keaton! Im glad you got the cornerstone it just started; the first one i think pretty cool! Derek- you got bikes! So much better right! What does Maximus look like! We will have to race! Mom that is so neat about trish wanting the 21 day program! Keep spreading it around! I love it! Kimberely is home! Can I have her email when you get it! I want to hear all talk- she gives the best talks! i cant beleive she is home- time is so weird isnt it! It flys by! Thank you for the package and Mom you did perfect right sizes and we loved the starburst! Sister Peronnet says thank you and I videod her opening it but cant send it for some reason so ill figure out something! She loved it and thank you so much. We brought the rest of the sweets and shared with the other missionareis at general conferecnce (between sessions of course dad). Dallin, you are making so much progress; i am so proud of you! Keep on Keeping on.

We watched conference at the Nottingham stake center and caught a ride with our bishop for saturday night (we watched the sat morining at 5 pm that night) and saunday for the saturday evening and sunday morning! Im buzzing to see the last session and the releif society session. They were all so good though! We had one of our investigators Yan come and he loved it! He didnt understand much of it due to his english but he met the chinese speaking elders and Ive never seen him happier! Ching chong chee chim is all I heard for the first session on Sunday! haha he smiled from ear to ear. We had fasted  and prayed all this week, that Yan would some how understand conference and that he would feel the spirit and decided and committ to baptism before he returns to china at the end of this month. We are seeing him this week. I love this chinese man; he is so humble and christ like, just a really good person whom i have grown and learnt so much from. He just needs to get baptised beacause the chances of him being baptised in china are much slimmer. Bless em'. But some of my favourite parts of conference I cant decide on one was when Elder Arnulfo Valuenzela said Ambrayso haha I felt like Dad was giving me an ambrayso as he said it! or when Elder Richard Maynes said Yorkshire and Gloucster as american as he could possibly sound. As he said it the whole chapel giggled silently! I loved Elder Hollands talk on depression, so good.. interestin topic but a difintie tear jerker. Elder Ballard was a legend : 80333 missionaries: it is such a privelage to be apart of that. We were talking afterwords about how if one missionary baptises one person: the effects are tremendous. Same with the 15 million members; if they introduce the gospel to one friend...the effects are massive. Edward Dube is one of my new favourite people and taught me to Never look Back and look ahead and beleive. To have no regrets! 2 Timothy 4:7-8 is now one of my new favourites! Mom I cant wait to get more spiritual in shape...and physically! Too much pudding here! ha I love Elder Gifford Nelson and am thinking of my game plan! Ok I loved all the talks really! I cant wait to hoepfully get my hands on the ensign and read the rest! Derek did you get to see all the sessions in english! Ill find out next week becuase I actually get your emails the following Pday beacuse of the time difference and the time I have on the computer! All in all I loved Conference and it went by two fast: the spirit was so strong as I was able to recieve personal reavelation for myself and the people we are working with.

This week flew by! We did service at the Halfords and they live on a farm! I loved it and felt at home and we talked the whole time about home me and brother halford. They have pigs, peacocks, sheep, chickens, Geese that could be friends with Festus because they are more like guard dogs (just imagine me standing on a fence post to get away from them! But We also did some service for a member who is building a new house. I swept all 3 floors and was literally covered head to foot in dust but who would have thought how much I would love wiping blinds and sweeping dust someday. I think service is one of my favourite parts about a mission. I love serving the members here and they are always looking for help! We had some really funny dinner appointments complete with there parakete bird flying in my food, bangers and mash 3 days in a row (Sausage and mash potatoes), and hair in some goodies as well. What can I say I love Derby. I really do love it here more and more each day. One of the funniest lines of the week was at a DA when we were sharing a spiritual thought and in the middle of it the lady says " oh my gosh ducky... your not wearing tights, your legs are really that colour! " haha My skin coulour is usually a hot topic around here...the english are quite white, the sun never shines!

But this week was good! Chris is doing well he watched some conference at home on his lapton and he is reading and praying 3 times a day. He has such a desire to be a better person and we get to watch him change each day. He is truely happier and now laughs and jokes with us and is just happier and he realizes that. I love wathching the gospel change people. We have a baptism for a 10 year old boy with autism and ADHD that we have been teaching for a while. Jack is such a sweet boy and I love teaching him our very short lessons, but he is excited to be baptised this weekend after a long wait! We did some service for a non member referel given to us and the coolest old lady ever- she is feeding us on tuesday and we are going to invite her to take the discussions. Life is so good and the lord is blessing our area and I love watching it flourish and gain more confidence in our area. Derby A does not muck around.

We have interviews this week and lots of things planned! Dallin looks sooo good and Amy you are so cute! I love the little belly I need to see the other 2 bellies! So we are at 3 boys?? Clay and what other names!? Fill a sister in! I hope everyone had fun at their mission reunions, I bet those are so fun! I have grown to love the people I have met on my mission so much including so many missionaries. I am so blessed to have the people I do around me. Just think if I would never have served a mission I would have never met them. I love you all and make it a good week- the missionary wall looks so good! What does derkes side look like! I remember redoing that wall together! Take conferece and apply and see the blessings that follow. I know the lord blesses his missionaries and his families. We are so lucky to have this knowledge that we have. Cheerio
